Picking News!

The 2010 picking season ended Saturday, July 17. It was a little hot and dry this season, but still a great one for everyone who came to pick. We finished pruning the orchard this week and will begin fertilizing for next year's crop before the end of July. Susan and I would like to thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout the season. We especially appreciate the many thanks we received for just "being here" and offering organic blueberries to pick in a comfortable setting. We thrive on your appreciation of our efforts, and are already looking forward to the 2011 picking season and having you all back again. Have a great 2010 Fall and Winter, and Spring 2011! 8:00AM - 1:00PM & 4:00PM - 7:00PM

On January 27, 2005 Berry Sweet Orchards became the first organic "you-pick" blueberry orchard to be certified by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry as an organic producer under the standards of the National Organic Program (NOP). Only NOP certified all-natural fertilizers and soil builders are used on our blueberry crop. No synthetic pesticides or herbicides have been used on or near our blueberries or in the orchard.
